Indonesia Hacking Competition World Champion 3rd
Indonesia has a good talent in it proved to be the winner in the race to 3 hacking competition Capture The Flag (CTF) in Kuala Lumpur
CTF is part of the annual conference of the Hack In The Box ( HITB ) . While the champion 1st and 2nd won by a team from Vietnam . In addition to the team Rentjong , Indonesia is also represented by Grasshopper Combat team .
The event was held 16 to 17 October 2013, is an international hacking competition was attended by 10 teams from 7 countries : Korea , Japan , Netherlands , Singapore , Malaysia , Vietnam and Indonesia .
Rentjong own team filled by activist - activist Homeland security : Rizki Abrams , WK and Arif Ammar Devantoro .
According to Rizki Abrams , CTF competitions test the participants' ability to solve security challenges such as exploitation , reverse engineering , cryptography , forensics and are packaged in the form of attack and defense game between the teams .
" Each team ( consisting of 3 persons) representing a country that should be on the attack another country . Each team will get weapons , firepower or nuke that can be used to attack the other team when successfully solving a given challenge . Teams who have the highest score is the winner HITB itself is an annual conference in which to bring together security researcher and hacker security of various countries to present a variety of results and research findings related to cyber security .
